Hello, my name is Deborah and I am an experienced, qualified and insured counsellor.
I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and work to their ethical code.
I believe that connection is at the heart of what we do.
I place strong emphasis on building our therapeutic relationship and holding space to do the work.
I have over 1,500 post qualification hours working with adults, children and young people.
Becoming a counsellor has been a career change for me and set me on the path of both professional and personal self development.
My counselling training started in 2018 and since qualifying in 2022, I have continued to study with an emphasis on working with adolescents as well as neurodivergence.
Alongside my private practice, I work within education providing counselling and support for children and young people, adults, pastoral teams and senior leadership teams.
I also deliver workshops on key elements of building therapeutic relationships and listening skills.
Navigating life is tough and can sometimes feel very isolated and lonely.
Having time and space to unravel the challenges, gain more clarity of the issues and work on these can truly be a gift.
I believe that there is nothing more powerful than being seen and feeling heard.
